Foreign minister resigns

Chisina, 28 October /MOLDPRES/- Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Oleg Țulea resigns. The Parliament's Foreign Policy and European Integration Committee today approved his candidacy as Ambassador of Moldova to Hungary.
Oleg Țulea also held the position of Moldovan Ambassador to Hungary, concurrently accredited to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Croatia and the Danube Commission in 2016 - 2020, before becoming foreign minister.
According to the Law on Diplomatic Service, ambassadors, permanent representatives, heads of diplomatic missions are appointed and recalled by the President at the government's proposal. Proposals on appointment to the positions shall be submitted to the government by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, in consultation with Parliament's Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration.
