As many as 861 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 28 October /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,622 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 861 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which five import ones. As many as 73,321 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 56 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –20, medical assistants –32, auxiliary staff – 4.

The health condition of the people hit is as follows: 803 are in serious condition, of whom 44 patients are connected to assisted breathing. The worst hit settlements are Chisinau and the country’s northern districts, as well as those from the left bank of Dniester.

Another 615 persons were treated and discharged from hospitals. As many as 53,816 people have been healed of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 19 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and there are 1,720 people dead of coronavirus in all.
