Moldovan capital's mayor demands resignation of praetor of Botanica district

Chisinau, 29 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, today demanded the resignation of the praetor of the capital’s Botanica district, Boris Prepelita, because of the inefficient management of things in the district.  

The mayor made the concerned announcement at an unexpected visit to the district. Ceban noted that the decision came as a result of the state of things recorded at the last inspection in the Botanica district. The mayor said that infringements had been registered in the district as regards the area’s sanitation, as well as the slow implementation of investment projects.

Ceban also said that confidence had been repeatedly given to the Botanica district’s leadership; yet, the latter has not changed the vision on the management of things in the district. ‘’Most projects on infrastructure and territorial arrangement should be launched here, as this is the biggest district of the Chisinau city. Yet, in fact, unlike the other districts, there are less of them. Moreover, they are carried out with infringements and exceeding the implementation terms,’’ Ion Ceban said.      

The mayor said that a councilor of the general mayor’s office, Diana Guba, would hold the position of acting praetor. At the same time, Ion Ceban asked the new acting praetor to submit, in a ten-day period, the list of projects which must be carried out in the Botanica district in the next years.
