Chisinau, 30 October /MOLDPRES/- Today Prime Minister Ion Chicu conveyed a congratulatory message to the National Radio Moldova on the 90th anniversary of founding, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The message reads:
"Today, the Radio Moldova celebrates its 90th anniversary.
On this occasion, I convey congratulations to generations of journalists, editors, artists, engineers and all those who through passion and responsibility form the coat of arms of nobility of the first radio station in the country.
The history of Radio Moldova began on 30 October 1930, with the transmission of a divine service from the Metropolitan Cathedral of Chisinau. It was like a blessing.
Radio Moldova has written history over time through news, reports, interviews, so that today we have a true cultural and spiritual heritage. The first recording was made in 1949 and since then Radio Moldova has gathered a rich archive, through which it has promoted the values of national and universal culture.
Hundreds of professionals have worked day and night for equidistant information to reach the public. Economic, social, political, cultural and sports events have all went chronologically through radio editorial staff over the past nine decades.
Today, Radio Moldova communicates daily with radio listeners. This proves once again that the public radio station remains in the top of audiences thanks to the fairness, responsibility and dedication of the entire team.
As a sign of appreciation and respect, today the government awarded diplomas and mentions to several employees of Radio Moldova. I take this opportunity to congratulate all employees of the longest-lived media outlets in the country and to wish them health, inspiration, creativity and as many loyal listeners as possible.
