Moldovan PM conveys message on 70th anniversary of founding Botanical Garden

Chisinau, 30 October /MOLDPRES/- Today Prime Minister Ion Chicu conveyed a message on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Alexandru Ciubotaru National Botanical Garden, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The message reads:

"The 70th anniversary of the National Botanical Garden - Alexandru Ciubotaru offers me a special opportunity to appreciate the value and achievements of all those who have worked with dedication over time to building, maintaining, saving and development of this national heritage object of science and culture.There are 70 years of botanical research, development and implementation of landscape art projects, ecological education and training of botanist researchers, research and other activities through which the institution has acquired a significant role in the life and development of the country.

The National Botanical Garden is a place that connects the world of plants with the history and culture of the country.

There is a lot to be done to bring back the National Botanical Garden to the aesthetic beauty of yesteryear. Despite the complicated times society is going through, generated by the new COVID pandemic crisis, I assure you that resources and solutions will be identified to maintain and develop the National Botanical Garden.

We have a duty to rehabilitate and develop this paradise of beauty and harmonious coexistence of various plant species in different floristic regions of the Earth.

The organization of the international homage scientific conference shows that at the anniversary hour the National Botanical Garden team not only discusses the past and its glories, but continues to research, seek technological and managerial ideas for the conservation, diversification and treatment of plants facing climate change, deserving assessment.

On this anniversary day, we bring sincere wishes for health, creative power and success to the researchers and employees of the National Botanical Garden ”.
