Chisinau, 30 October /MOLDPRES/ - The switch to distance work, reorganization of jobs, accelerated digitalization of operational processes and improvement of employees’ well-being are just some of the actions undertaken by big companies, in order to cope with the pandemic’s challenges.
These aspects were tackled at a webinar titled, Crises’ management during COVID-19, organized by the Investments Agency in partnership with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) this week.
The event’s goal was to provide relevant and practical information to foreign investors, who carry out their activity in Moldova, as well as all economic agents which ask for information on the management of crises during pandemic.
„According to data by International Labour Organization, it is estimated that the global income of the labour force dropped by 10.7 per cent or 3.5 trillion dollars in the first three quarters of 2020 against the same period of 2019. The biggest decrease was recorded in countries with average low incomes, where the losses in the income of the labour force reached 15.1 per cent. In the context, the string of webinars held by the Investments Agency represents an information platform on the proactive solutions and actions entrepreneurs can take over, in order to build enterprises’ resilience,’’ the director of the Investments Agency, Rodica Verbeniuc, said.
The participants said that the business management in the context of the pandemic crisis and the reorganization of the labour processes were the main aspects companies must take into account, in order to continue their work during the pandemic.
The webinar, Crises’ management during COVID-19, is the fourth event of a string of events dedicated to investors and economic agents from Moldova, in order to easier adapt to the new reality.
