Chisinau, 30 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has ruled to establish the schedule of work of the polling station No1/307, Baku city, Azerbaijan, between 7:00 and 18:00.
According to the CEC leadership, the decision was prompted by the need to ensure the voting in maximal safety for electors and the members of the electoral body, who are to count and tabulate the results of the polls, going home in the interval of the hours allowed.
The declaring by the authorities of Azerbaijan of the martial law, triggered by the Azeri-Armenian military conflict, provides for the introduction of the state of siege in more cities, including Baku. Therefore, the state established exceeds the limits of the state’s national sovereignty and Moldova is obliged to observe and comply with the rules of the host country.
The martial law limits the access to cities; thus, the stay in streets after 19:30 is not recommended and the presence of people in streets and public places without special permits is forbidden during 21:00-6:00.
