About 3.8% of voters turned out at polls by 9:00

Chisinau, 1 November /MOLDPRES/- Over 104,000 voters or about 3.8% went to the polls by 9:00.
According to CEC data, the turnout in the Republic of Moldova is 104,287 or 3.8%, of which 50.31% women and 49.69% men.
Most people turned out to vote for citizens aged 56-70 years - 42.83%, then 41-55 years - 25%, 26-40 years - 16.5%, young people aged 18 to 25 years - 4.77%, and those over 71 - 10.01%.
5069 citizens participated in the vote by this time abroad, including 2546 women and 2541 men.
Today, over 2.8 million citizens of the Republic of Moldova with the right to vote are expected to participate in the presidential elections. Voting centers are open from 07:00 to 21:00.
Eight candidates have registered for the presidency: Renato Usatii, the candidate of the Political Party Our Party; the candidate of the Dignity and Truth Platform Party - Andrei Năstase; the candidate of the Liberal Democratic Party - Tudor Deliu; independent candidate Igor Dodon; the candidate of the Shor Party - Violeta Ivanov; the candidate of the Action and Solidarity Party - Maia Sandu; the candidate of the National Unity Party - Octavian Țîcu; the candidate of the UNIREA Electoral Bloc - Dorin Chirtoacă.
