MNotify service launched today

Chisinau, 3 November /MOLDPRESS/- The Government Notification Service (MNotify) was launched today by the Electronic Government Agency. It is a technical application for the transmission of notifications within the information systems owned by ministries, administrative authorities and organizational structures in their area of competence, as well as other institutions providing public services.
According to an information note, "the development of electronic services for citizens and business environment in recent years has increased the number of online transactions, identifying a number of shortcomings. One of these is that, although there are services that are provided partially or fully online, public service providers, such as the Public Services Agency, the State Tax Service, the National Social Insurance House, the National Health Insurance Company, etc. are required to send notifications when providing services.
"Notification" means a message, automatically generated by the information systems of the institutions, intended to notify users of certain changes in the structure of services or the manner in which they are provided. Thus, users will be notified of any changes produced, in short time, by e-mail, SMS, instant messaging or other communication channels, as needed.
The purpose of the MNotify service is to provide public authorities and institutions, as well as private people and legal entities under private law, with an efficient, reliable and modern mechanism for notifying users, through various notification channels.
MNotify has been implemented as a component part of the common government technology platform MCloud, aiming to facilitate transactional electronic services and increase the overall quality of public services. In order to bring the MNotify technical solution to the highest parameters of functionality and utility, in the pre-launch phase, the e-Government Center, with the support of the State Chancellery, ministries and other administrative authorities, with the involvement of the private sector, tested the service, identifying the necessary adjustments.
The annual costs for the administration of the MNotify service are estimated at about four hundred thousand lei and will be covered from the state budget account through the centralized financing of the Electronic Government Agency.
