Czech Republic donated consignment of medical equipment to several hospitals in Moldova

Chisinau, 4 November /MOLDPRES/- Two district hospitals will be equipped with multifunctional beds, bedside tables, as well as mobile systems that provide energy and allow the placement of necessary medical devices near the patient, thanks to humanitarian aid provided by the Czech Republic.
According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, the intensive care unit of the Causeni District Hospital will be equipped with 11 multifunctional beds, and the intensive care unit of the Calarasi District Hospital will be equipped with 10 multifunctional beds. The total value of humanitarian assistance amounts to 390 thousand euros.
"The humanitarian assistance provided is part of the humanitarian response to the COVID-19 pandemic, for which the Government of the Czech Republic provided extraordinary funds, being used to purchase beds in the intensive care units of district hospitals, to increase the capacity for urgent hospitalization of patients in Moldova. The Czech Republic will continue to fund and implement external development cooperation projects, " Czech ambassador to Moldova Zdeněk Krejčí said.
In addition to humanitarian aid, the Czech Republic annually supports development projects worth over three million euros in the Republic of Moldova, in various fields of activity.
