Customs Service reported revenues of about 18 billion lei in early 2020

Chisinau, 4 November /MOLDPRES/- The revenues of the Customs Service in the first ten months of this year amounted to 18 billion lei, in October being collected from the state budget over two billion lei.
"During the last month, 51,008 customs declarations were made, and the flow of means of transport was 138,893 crossings. The most transit customs posts remain to be Leușeni and Giurgiulești, with 39,984 and 27,612 crossings, respectively ”, the Customs Service said.
The Customs Service administers the Single Call Center (+373 22 788 888), where information on the rules for crossing the border with various goods can be obtained (24/24) or registered complaints regarding possible abuses admitted by the employees of the institution.
During the reporting period, 326 violations of the customs legislation were found, 265 reports were made on contravention and fines worth over 943 thousand lei.
In the context of the epidemic situation, the Customs Service urges cross-border traffic participants to be informed only from official sources about the border crossing conditions imposed in the countries of destination, including transit.
