More than 22,000 old people from Moldova benefit from pension's re-examination

Chisinau, 13 November /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 22,571 people have benefited from the reexamination of the age limit pension in 2020.
According to data by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry, about 3,142 beneficiaries asked for the reexamination of the right to pension starting from 1 January and benefited from an increase of pension by an average of 2,005 lei.
At the same time, starting from 1 July 2020, the right to the age limit pension’s reexamination was turned to account by 19,429 people, who benefited from an average increase in pension by 2,881.88 lei. The average quantum of the age limit pension for the people who benefited from the pension’s reexamination is 5,559.24 lei.
Subsequently, on 1 January 2022, decision-makers will reexamine the pensions of the beneficiaries of pensions established after 1 January 1999 and which confirm the length of pensionable service made following of pension’s establishment from 5 till 7 years and on 1 January 2023, which confirm the length of pensionable service from 2 till 5 years.
To benefit from the reexamination of the right to pension, the applicant must submit application to the Territorial Social Insurances House, according to the residence visa.
Statistics data shows that 168,600 out of the overall number of 690,200 pension beneficiaries continue to work after the pension’s establishment.
