Moldovan parliament speaker votes in runoff election

Chisinau, 15 November /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii today morning exercised her right to vote in the runoff of the presidential elections, the parliament’s communication and public relations general department has reported.

”I have voted for peace and stability, for our country’s flourishing. For a person at the leadership of the country, who is a true backer of statehood. For a person who will defend his country, who will be proud of it and will never deliver the sovereignty and independence of Moldova to anybody. We must be proud of our country and then everything will be good. We have many nationalities, but we are all together the people of Moldova. We are a peaceful people and we should live in peace with all other nations. The Moldovan people is pretty wise and I trust it,’’ the speaker said at the exit from the polling station.

The runoff of the presidential polls takes place in Moldova today. The Central Electoral Commission distributed 2,934,017 ballot papers to the district electoral councils for the runoff election. Also, they were endowed with equipment of protection against COVID-19.
