Independent candidate voted for independence, statehood of Moldova

Chisinau, 15 November /MOLDPRES/- Independent candidate Igor Dodon has exercised the right to vote. He said he opted for "the independence and statehood of the Republic of Moldova."
Dodon came to the polls with his wife. "I voted for the independence and statehood of the Republic of Moldova. I voted for peace, interethnic peace, changes for the better, we need qualitative changes, not shocks. I voted for social equity, balance in foreign relations ", Dodon said.
Dodon said that in today's election the citizens are much more active and come in greater numbers to the polling stations.
Today, over 2.8 million Moldovan citizens with the right to vote are expected to participate in presidential elections. Voting centers are open from 07:00 to 21:00. PAS candidate Maia Sandu and independent candidate Igor Dodon were enrolled in the presidential race after the 1 November election.
