As many as 507 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 15 November /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 1,512 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 507 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which one import case. As many as 89,279 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 33 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 5, medical assistants – 20, auxiliary staff employees – 8.   

A number of 3,163 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 252 are in extremely serious condition (48 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 4,011 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 26,920 are under supervision at the domicile. 

Another 1,286 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 70,812 people were treated of COVID-19.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 13 deaths triggered by COVID-19, with 2,019 people dead because of the virus till present. The virus killed a medical employee – a 43-year-old woman, who had worked as doctor’s assistant at the Botanica Substation Emergency Medical Assistance from regional department of the Emergency Medical Assistance. 

Fifty two medical employees have died because of COVID-19 so far.
