7,000 bottles of Remdesivir to treat COVID-19 reached Moldova

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/- Seven thousand bottles of Remdesivir, purchased by the Center for Centralized Public Procurement in Health for the inpatient treatment of patients with moderate forms of COVID-19 arrived today in Moldova and will be distributed to hospitals in the country.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, training will be organized in all hospitals in the country on the correct use of Remdesivir in the treatment of patients infected with COVID-19.

Remdesivir was included in the Provisional National Clinical Protocol on the recommendation of the World Health Organization and is recommended for the treatment of patients hospitalized with COVID-19 with a moderate form of the disease.
