Deputy premier meets head of OSCE Mission to Moldova

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Olga Cebotari met with Head of OSCE Mission to Moldova Claus Neukirch and continued discussions on a number of issues related to the Transnistrian issue.

Discussions focused on the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting scheduled for 3-4 December in Tirana, Albania, and the need to hold productive consultations in order to finalize the OSCE Ministerial Council Declaration on the negotiation process in the format 5 + 2 on the Transnistrian settlement due to be approved at the 27th meeting of the Council.

At the same time, the sides exchanged views on the priorities in the Transnistrian file during the Swedish OSCE Presidency in 2021, which will focus on creating the necessary conditions to organize a new round of 5 + 2 negotiations, the implementation of the so-called Berlin Plus package and the identification of sustainable solutions to the most pressing issues affecting residents of both banks of the Dniester.
