New post of Ombudsman to be set up in Moldova

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/- The business community will have an Ombudsman who will defend the rights of entrepreneurs. Legal commission on rules and immunities will propose approval of a draft amendment to several laws.

According to the commission's decision, the Ombudsman will ensure the rights and interests of entrepreneurs are respected by public authorities, organizations and enterprises, regardless of ownership and legal form of organization, by non-profit organizations and officials.

The Ombudsman for entrepreneurs rights will be appointed by parliament and will act autonomously from the Ombudsman and the Ombudsman for Children's Rights. The parliament within 1 month from the date of entry into force of this law will organize the competition to select candidates for the position of Ombudsman for entrepreneurs rights.
