Youth organizations likely to get financial support from state

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/- The state is to provide financial support to youth organizations for the development and implementation of projects. The money will be distributed within the resources of the state budget or in the budgets of the administrative-territorial units. The culture, education, research, youth, sports and media committee approved in today's meeting the draft amendment to the Law on Youth.

The financial support will be provided through grants and the beneficiaries will be selected following a public competition, organized by the central specialized body of public administration in youth or APL authorities.

The project also provides for the exemption from rent payment of non-profit youth organizations with public benefit status that have used spaces of the authorities financed from the state budget or budgets of administrative-territorial units. It also stipulates the right of young people to get involved in the decision-making process at the local level and in elaboration and implementation of public youth policies.

The bill will be debated in the parliament to become law.
