Moldovan cabinet approves two state documents for developing horticulture

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet members today voted for the approval of a programme on development of the horticulture for 2021-2025 and an action plan on its implementation.

The programme on development of horticulture for 2021-2025 is elaborated, in order to fulfill the government’s action plan for 2020-2023, approved under the Government Decision No 636/2019. ‘’It will contribute to achieving the Goal, Directing investments for strengthening the value chain and infrastructure for processing agricultural production and modernization of the processing industry for creating a system of small- and medium-sized enterprises for the processing, preservation and packing of agro-food products, established by the aforementioned plan for the agricultural sector and food industry,’’ the document reads.

The ministries and central public administration authorities, according to competences, will undertake needed measures for the carrying out in the established terms of the actions planned in the programme on development of horticulture for 2021-2025.

The Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry will ensure the monitoring and coordination of the process of implementing the programme on developing horticulture for 2021-2025 and will annually present to the government the report on the carrying out of the aforementioned programme till 31 March.
