As many as 1,607 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 4,387 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,607 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which ten import case. As many as 92,519 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 106 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 33, medical assistants – 56, auxiliary staff employees – 17.

A number of 3,200 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 256 are in extremely serious condition (59 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

Another 1,170 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 74,229 people were treated of COVID-19.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 18 deaths triggered by COVID-19, with 2,072 people dead because of the virus till present.
