Veterans to receive higher allocations in Moldova

Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/ - The state monthly allocation for more categories of residents will be increased. The parliament adopted a draft law to this effect in two readings today.
Thus, the allocation for the participants in the combat actions for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity and independence, as well as for the people who participated in the combat actions in Afghanistan will grow by 200 lei up to 500 lei.
Also, the allocation for persons with disabilities in the wake of the war from the aforementioned categories, the disabled people following the Chernobyl accident relief works will increase by 100 lei. Thus, the allocation for the people with severe disabilities will grow up to 800 lei, with pronounced disabilities – up to 650 lei, with medium disabilities – up to 575 lei.
At the same time, the allocation for people who were awarded orders and medals for assiduous work and impeccable military service in the rear of the front in the years of the World War II will increase by 100 lei up to 275 lei.
As much as 67.1 million lei is needed for enforcing the law, with the money due to be provided for in the draft law on the state budget for 2021.
