Works of disassembling materials damaged after fire at Moldova's National Philarmonic completed

Chisinau, 20 November /MOLDPRES/ - The works of disassembling the materials damaged in the wake of the fire have been finished at the National Philharmonic.
According to data by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), during more days, workers evacuated the waste, as well as the materials running the risk of coming down. Over 68 tons of metals were evacuated from inside the building; the metal is to be sold and the financial means will be directed to the Philharmonic. The disassembling actions took place on an area of over 700 square metres and were completed today.
On the spot, ten people with seven technology units were involved in the carrying out of the actions. To manage the situation, the IGSI General Staff worked at the Philharmonic, which monitored the situation during the disassembling and evacuation of the waste.
The Education, Culture and Research Ministry is to identify experts in the field to make a technical examination of the building.
On 24 September, a fire burned up more than 3,500 square metres of the building of the Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic. The fire destroyed the building completely, with both concert hall devastated; more musical instruments, some of which unique ones, burned up.
