As many as 1,252 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 22 November /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 2,829 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,252 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which nine import ones. As many as 97,941 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 87 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 35, medical assistants – 46, auxiliary staff employees – 6.

A number of 3,411 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 257 are in extremely serious condition (45 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 4,628  persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 27,397 are under supervision at the domicile.

Another 1,444 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 79,556  people were treated of COVID-19.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 19 deaths triggered by COVID-19, with 2,149 people dead because of the virus till present. The virus killed also a 71-year-old physician dentist, who worked at the stomatology section of the Edinet District Hospital. So far, 53 medical employees have died because of the COVID-19 infection.
