All beds in municipal hospitals for patients with COVID-19 full

Chisinau, 23 November /MOLDPRES/- All beds in hospitals in Chisinau for the treatment of COVID-19 patients are full.

The deputy head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health, Boris Gâlcă, said at today's online meeting of the services of the Chisinau municipality that the municipal health institutions have reached the maximum treatment capacity of COVID-19. "All 1042 beds in municipal hospitals are full. We are considering accessing the 200 existing beds at the COVID Center in Moldexpo ", Galca said.

In this context, he said that the health emergency in Chisinau has reached the red code. So far, 41,034 people have been infected with the new coronavirus, and over 29,000 recovered.

"So far, 719 deaths have been registered in Chisinau, and the number of deaths is constantly increasing," said Boris Galca.

In total, to date, 97,941 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the country, and 2,149 people have died due to complications caused by the new coronavirus.
