Moldovan government to approve budget law for 2021 next week

Chisinau, 23 November /MOLDPRES/- By 1 December the budget law and the tax budget policy for 2021 will be approved by the government and will be examined by parliament by late 2020. Prime Minister Ion Chicu made the statement at today's weekly meeting with the country's top leadership.

Significant funds for the repair of road infrastructure are provided in next year's budget. "In the draft state budget law for next year, 1.7 billion lei are provided in the road fund. Also, another 900 million lei will be allocated for the continuation of the works within the Good Roads project", said Chicu.

The premier said that in the budget for 2021, about 500 million lei will be earmarked for construction projects of water and sewerage systems in the country's localities. Expenses to increase the salaries of several categories of state employees, including medical workers, are also provided.
