Eight schools, 262 classes in Moldova work remotely due to quarantine

Chisinau, 23 November /MOLDPRES/- On 20 November eight general education institutions and 262 classes in the country are working remotely due to quarantine. The number of pupils tested positive for COVID-19 is 401, and 8522 were placed in self-isolation, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC) has reported.
According to the MECC, 426 teachers have been positively confirmed with the new coronavirus and 322 are in isolation. Of the non-teaching and auxiliary staff, 109 people were infected with the new virus, and another 116 are in self-isolation.
Out of 1,398 early education institutions, 1,320 educational institutions have resumed their activity at the founder's decision.
The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research reiterates urge to school managers, teachers and students to continue to comply with all protective measures against COVID-19 virus.
