Moldovan Agency for Agriculture's Development and Modernization has new head

Chisinau, 23 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Agency for Agriculture’s Development and Modernization (ADMA) has a new director. At a today’s working meeting, the new head of the institution, Maxim Popov, was introduced to the employees.
The new ADMA acting director, Maxim Popov, was state secretary at the Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry (MADRM), in charge of the policies in the field of environmental protection and natural resources, appointed under a cabinet decision from March 2020. He has earlier held the office of head of the office of the competent minister.
At the meeting, Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Minister Ion Perju said that Maxim Popov ‘’has a rich experience in the sector of projects’ management and will contribute to the carrying out of the policies and strategic goals of the institution.’’
Maxim Popov started his work in the public sector as assistant at the Moldovan parliament’s secretariat in 2012. During his professional activity, Popov gained experience in the field of economic management in the private sector; he was expert in the agro-food sector and exports’ promotion at the World Bank’s Competitiveness Enhancement Project; he worked at the State Chancellery too. Maxim Popov graduated from the Bucharest-based Academy of Economic Studies and has diploma of master in the feasibility of investments in agriculture.
