Deputy premier meets U.S. Ambassador toi Moldova

Chisinau, 24 November /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Olga Cebotari today met Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United States to Moldova Dereck J. Hogan, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

The officials discussed foremost elements on the dimension of the Transnistria-related issues, government’s priorities in the field of Moldova’s reintegration policies, up-to-date subjects on the Chisinau-Tiraspol dialogue and efforts made to solve the difficulties faced by the residents from both banks of Dniester.

Also, Deputy PM Olga Cebotari informed about the preparations carried out to give final touches to a new ministerial declaration on the 5+2 negotiations on Transnistrian settlement, due to be adopted at a next week meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council, as well as about intention to foster the work in all current formats of talks (political representatives, sectoral working groups).

The sides agreed on maintaining a constant communication on aspects of mutual interest.
