Moldovan-American cooperation discussed at foreign ministry

Chisinau, 25 November /MOLDPRES/- Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Aureliu Ciocoi held a meeting on 24 November with US Ambassador to Moldova Dereck Hogan. The two officials addressed current issues on the bilateral agenda and considered priorities for the next period, the MAEIE press service has reported.

The sides found a good cooperation in the political, trade-economic sectors and referred to implementation of reforms for consolidating the democratic processes in the country. Aureliu Ciocoi and Dereck Hogan highlighted the importance of using the potential of the strategic dialogue between Moldova and the USA, especially through joint working groups.

Also, Ciocoi expressed appreciation to the American side for the valuable assistance provided to our country in the Moldovan government efforts to combat the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
