Chisinau, 25 November /MOLDPRES/ - The government might regulate the tariffs for the services of laboratory diagnosis of the infection with SARS-CoV-2 and the immunization services on the period of the state of emergency in the healthcare sector, declared nationally and locally. The parliament’s commission for social protection, health and family approved a draft law to this effect today.
The draft on the amendment of the law on establishing measures on the period of the emergency state in the healthcare sector and amendment of normative acts was worked out by a group of MPs of Moldova’s Democratic Party (PDM).
The initiative’s authors say that, at present, the access to the laboratory diagnosis for detecting the COVID-19 virus is limited, including the cost borne by the citizens to make the test. ‘’In the current conditions of overburdening of the healthcare system, the alternative provided by the private sector is to be regulated and accessible to patients,’’ the informative note says.
Also, the PDM lawmakers suggest that the state regulate also the formation of the prices for the vaccination services, which will be able to be accessed by citizens outside the national immunization programme.
