Quality requirements for bee products to be published in Official Journal of Moldova

Chisinau, 26 November /MOLDPRES/- The 27 November Official Journal of Moldova will publish the quality requirements for bee products, including beeswax, propolis, royal jelly and pollen for consumption, approved by the government.

The quality requirements for bee products set out the quality, food safety, presentation and labeling requirements to be met in the production, collection, processing, packaging, storage, storage, transport and marketing of bee products, both from domestic production and the import one.

Producers of bee products must ensure the use of good production practices, take effective measures to achieve quality, food safety, presentation and labeling.

The project comes to align national requirements with the requirements of the European Community, with the signing of the association agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Moldova, the elimination of non-tariff barriers, as well as the elimination of unfair competition.

The control over the execution of this decision is entrusted to the National Agency for Food Safety, and the decision enters into force at the expiration of three months from the date of publication in the Official Journal of Moldova.
