Free-lance veterinary physicians of Moldova to have more facilities

Chisinau, 26 November /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today approved in two readings a draft law due to regulate the work of the free-lance veterinary physicians.
The document provides for amendments to a string of documents and is aimed at improving the implementation of a programme of strategic actions of supervising, prophylaxis and combating diseases in animals, preventing the transmission of diseases from animals to man and environmental protection.
At the same time, the draft sees providing facilities to young specialists veterinary physicians, who are to motivate them to work in rural settlements, thus creating a basis of staff in the sector.
The draft also stipulates the introduction of the notion of ‘’non-professional exploitation,’’ meant to remove the ambiguities as to the delimiting of the entrepreneurial activity and the one of breeding animals for one’s own consumption. At the same time, the draft is to simplify the procedure of sanitary and veterinary authorization.
”The draft’s approval will boost also the development of the sector of breeding animals, which represents an important branch of the economy, both to ensure the domestic food security and to facilitate the trade,’’ reads an informative note of the draft.
