Another 93,000 doses of flu vaccine arrived in Moldova

Chisinau, 27 November /MOLDPRES/- The second batch of influenza vaccine in the amount of 93 thousand doses of 100 thousand doses, purchased from the Russian Federation arrived in Chisinau.
According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, they will be distributed to public medical institutions for immunization against seasonal flu of medical workers, chronically ill patients, employees of border guards, the Emergency Situations Service and the Customs Service, staff of social assistance institutions and children of orphanages.
Experts say that immunization with the flu vaccine is the safest and most effective way to prevent flu and avoid complications, and recommends that people in high-risk categories be vaccinated. The flu vaccine is provided free of charge.
Another 100,000 doses of vaccine will be delivered in the country in early December and will be provided by the United States and UNICEF.
