Draft budgets for 2021 to be examined today

Chisinau, 30 November /MOLDPRES/- The draft budget for 2021 and the budget-fiscal policy will be approved today by the government. Prime Minister Ion Chicu made the statement today at the end of the weekly meeting with the country's top leadership.

The cabinet is meeting today to consider the budget and the fiscal budget policy for next year. Also today, the documents will be sent to the parliament.

"The budget for 2021 supports priority areas such as medicine, where there are the largest salary increases and the most money allocated to strengthen the technical-material base. Only the increase of employees' salaries will cost two billion lei ", said Chicu.

He said that next year, which will be a complicated one, investments in infrastructure projects will not be given up.

He called on citizens to comply with COVID-19 prevention measures and noted that the situation has become quite complicated and there are virtually no more places in hospitals for infected patients.

"Medical system capabilities are at limit and we no longer have the possibility of expansion. We still find spaces, rooms, but there are no longer human resources to expand the number of seats ", concluded Chicu.
