As many as 808 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 6 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 1,981 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 808 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which one import case. As many as 116,365 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 53 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 20, medical assistants –26, auxiliary staff employees – 7.

A number of 3,780 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 281 are in extremely serious condition (52 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 8,114 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 30,306 are under supervision at the domicile.

Another 1,638 people have been treated and discharged. As many as101,244 people were treated of COVID-19.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 16 deaths triggered by COVID-19, with 2,419 people dead because of the virus till present.
