Germany donates lung ventilation equipments to Moldova

Chisinau, 9 December /MOLDPRES/ -Ambassador of Germany to Moldova Angela Ganninger today delivered eight lung ventilation equipments for the treatment of severe cases of COVID-19 at the headquarters of the Emergency Medicine Institute.
According to the Embassy of Germany, by three equipments are meant for the Emergency Medicine Institute and the Timofei Mosneaga Republican Hospital and by one – to the Chisinau-based COVID Centre and district hospital from Ceadar-Lunga.
The equipments worth over 230,000 euros (about 4.7 million lei) were bought with funds of the German Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In last May, the Embassy of Germany transmitted protection suits worth 50,000 euros to the Health Ministry. Also, on 3 October, on the occasion of the German Unity Day, the ambassador delivered suits amounting to about 4,000 euros to the National Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Centre. Through the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), Germany purchased the other two lung ventilation equipments for the use in the intensive therapy section.
