COVID-19 kills 2,500 people in Moldova in all

Chisinau, 10 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,682 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,715 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which nine import cases. As many as 122,685 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 89 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 23, medical assistants –53, auxiliary staff employees – 13.

A number of 3,845 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 286 are in extremely serious condition (60 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 8,645 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 31,255 are under supervision at the domicile.

Another 1,265 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 105,238 people were treated of COVID-19.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 19 deaths triggered by COVID-19, with 2,500 people dead because of the virus till present.
