Constituency electoral councils dissolved

The Central Electoral Commission dissolved the constituency electoral councils that have been set up to organize and conduct the elections of the President of the Republic of Moldova.
The CEC members at today's meeting decided to dissolve the constituency electoral councils. Also, the electoral bureaus of polling stations cease their activity today and are considered dissolved.
For the organization and conduct of the presidential elections, 36 electoral councils were set up in the second level constituencies and 2,143 electoral bureaus of the polling stations.
The CEC members decided to send to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection the protective equipment to prevent the spread of COVID-19 purchased at the presidential election and left unused.
The CEC purchased masks and protective suits, gloves, thermometers, visors and disinfectants for the purpose of elections.
