More vehicles need rescuers' intervention after skidding from highways in Moldova

Chisinau, 11 December /MOLDPRES/ - An ambulance and a mini-bus needed rescuers’ intervention, after they had skidded from highways because of the bad weather conditions.
According to data by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), rescuers today helped more drivers who had skidded from roads. In the Hulboaca settlement, Chisinau municipality, firemen intervened, after an ambulance which was hurrying to take a patient had skidded from the road. A crew of a team of rescuers and firemen from the Rascani district of Chisinau intervened on the spot for de-blocking works.
Another case in which rescuers’ involvement was necessary took place nearby the Troita Noua settlement, where a cargo minibus had skidded. Rescuers from Causeni intervened on the spot, who managed to de-block the transport means.
Roads from northern, southern and central Moldova, which have slopes, as well as dangerous curves were in the focus of rescuers during the day. IGSU employees were ready to provide assistance to drivers on roads from the districts of Soroca, Cahul, Ungheni, Causeni, Stefan Voda, Orhei, Rezina, Hancesti, Leova, Autonomous Territorial Gagauzia, Balti, Briceni, Edinet, as well as the Chisinau municipality.
To prevent risks, 23 enhanced traction special vehicles, with over 50 IGSU employees, were mobilized in Moldova.
