As many as 1,579 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 11 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,482 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,579 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which six import cases. As many as 124,264 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 66 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 25, medical assistants –30, auxiliary staff employees – 11.

A number of 3,882 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 289 are in extremely serious condition (61 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 8,774 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 31,242 are under supervision at the domicile.

Another 1,233 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 106,471 people were treated of COVID-19.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 21 deaths triggered by COVID-19, with 2,521 people dead because of the virus till present.
