Pandemic situation in Chisinau remains tense

Chisinau, 14 December /MOLDPRES/- The head of the Directorate of Health and Social Assistance of the Chisinau city hall, Tatiana Bucearschi, said today at the online meeting of the municipal services that the situation in the capital's hospitals remains tense. Thus, out of the total number of 1172 places in the hospital, 1033 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized.

Bucearschi said that 59 patients are in a very serious condition, 312 in a serious condition, and 622 patients are in an average condition. At the same time, the official said that 1504 workers of the municipal health system became infected with COVID-19.

"Over 53 thousand cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Chisinau so far. The pandemic situation in Chisinau remains tense - in intensive care there is no vacancy left ", said Bucearschi.

There were 126,518 cases of coronavirus in the Republic of Moldova.
