Chisinau billboards likely to be removed

Chisinau, 14 December /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban asked the Municipal Council to approve the regulation on street advertising as soon as possible. If the regulation is not approved, after December 31 all billboards in the city will be taken down.

Ceban said at the online meeting of the municipal services today that the Chisinau Municipal Council / CMC / does not want a faster approval of the Regulation on street advertising. "After a year of consultations with advertising associations, we found that, at the last meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council, several councilors were against the approval of this regulation. I ask that this lobby be stopped ", he said.

He said that if the regulation is not adopted by city councilors, all billboards will be removed.

In 2020, over 1,300 billboards belonging to advertising agencies with expired advertising placements were dismantled.
