As many as 735 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 14 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 1,725 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 735 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which seven import ones. As many as 127,253 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 43 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 14, medical assistants –20, auxiliary staff employees – 9.

A number of 3,825 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 286 are in extremely serious condition (62 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 9,097 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 31,844 are under supervision at the domicile.

Another 1,278 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 110,179 people were treated of COVID-19.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 26 deaths triggered by COVID-19, with 2,598 people dead because of the virus till present. The virus killed also a physician who had worked at the Repromed Hospital. Fifty nine medical employees have died because of the coronavirus infection so far.
