Moldovan cabinet allocates nine million euros to Chisinau city hall for solid waste mangement

Chisinau, 14 December /MOLDPRES/ - Financial means worth up to nine million euros will be provided as grant to the Chisinau city hall, within the solid waste project in Moldova. The cabinet of ministers approved a decision to this effect today, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The money will be allocated from the resources seen in the framework agreement on loan, signed between Moldova and the European Investment Bank (EIB) on 18 October 2019. The agreement’s budget is of 25 million euros, meant for the management of solid waste in Moldova.

The concerned draft was worked out in line with point 4 from the preamble of the financing agreement, which envisages that the loan will make available to the end beneficiaries the sums of credit in form of a loan and/or a grant, based on a sub-financing agreement.
