Chisinau, 15 December /MOLDPRES/ - The draft suggesting the return to the retirement age of 57 years for women and 62 years for men was backed by the parliament’s commission for social protection, health and family today.
The draft proposes the establishing of the standard retirement age of 57 years for women and 62 years for men.
The document also sees that a retirement age of 54 tears is set for the women who gave birth and educated five or more children till the age of 8 years.
The standard retirement age is diminished by from 5 years to 9 years and six months for the people who made a length of pensionable service in special labour conditions at least ten full years.
The authors of the legislative amendments say that the progressive growth of the standard retirement age since 2017 up to 63 years, both for men and women, did not take into account the life expectancy in Moldova.
