Official Journal of Moldova published order on social benefits through MPay

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/- The government's order on organizing the launch of the government electronic payment service (MPay) for the distribution of social benefits was published in the Official Journal on 16 December.

The document, signed by Prime Minister Ion Chicu provides that the Ministry of Finance, the Public Institution Electronic Government Agency and the National Social Insurance House to take the necessary measures, including by training the responsible staff, to ensure, starting with January 2, 2021, the operation of the government electronic payment service (MPay), as well as the financing and distribution of social benefit payments.

Also, the Electronic Government Agency will ensure within that period the functioning of the electronic payment service (MPay) for social benefits. At the same time, it is recommended to the National Bank of Moldova to ensure on 2 January 2021 the functionality of the automated interbank payment system.

"On 2 January 2021, the Ministry of Finance, the National Social Insurance House and the Public Institution Electronic Government Agency will ensure the financing of Moldovan Post Office state enterprise with financial means necessary for cash payments of pensions, state social allowances, state financial support and single financial support for 1-4 January 2021 ”, the order reads.
