CNESP Decision: Measures of prevention, control of COVID-19 infection at ceremony of Moldovan President-elect's swearing in office

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - The National Extraordinary and Public Health Commission (CNESP) today issued a decision, by which it establishes the measures necessary for ensuring the optimum conditions of epidemiological safety at the ceremony of holding the swearing in office of Moldova’s President, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
CNESP instructed that the ceremony of swearing in office of Moldova’s President, planned to be held at the headquarters of the Palace of the Republic on 24 December 2020, should be carried out with the observance of all measures of prevention and control of the COVID-19 infection. The ceremony will last 2 hours at the most and the maximal number of the participants will be 250 people.
The ceremony’s organizers should compile the list of epidemiological record of the participants in the event according to the model established and present it to the competent bodies. They will also provide the thermometry of each participant in the ceremony at the entrance in the building.
The people with the body temperature higher than 37.5 Celsius degrees will not be allowed to take part in the ceremony.
Another measure sees the ensuring of the strict access with protection masks of the participants in the ceremony and monitoring the correct wearing of masks during the entire ceremony. The participants will have to observe the physical distance of 1.5 metres. At the same time, the chairs or the armchairs will be placed in the festive hall at a distance of 1.5 metres in front, back and laterally. Also, alcohol-based disinfectant substances will be made available in visible place at the entrance, on halls, in sanitary groups, in changing rooms and in the festive hall of the Palace of the Republic.
The disinfection of all rooms, including the festival hall, halls or sanitary groups will have to be provided 3 hours before the ceremony. CNESP also instructed to verify the ventilation systems, air conditioners at the Palace of the Republic, their disinfection and exploitation in the regime and technical parameters established.
The CNESP Decision comes in the context of the approach by the representatives of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) political party, invoking the legal provisions as to the procedure of swearing in office of Moldova’s President and the limit of 50 people earlier established by CNESP for one-off events.
