Moldovan government approves draft on compensation of spending for carriage of corpses from abroad

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - The government today approved measures, in order to optimize the process of partial compensation of the expenses for the carriage of corpses of Moldovan citizens from abroad. In this respect, the cabinet members approved amendments to the way the material aid is established and paid, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

While earlier, the spending only for the transportation of the corpse has been partially compensated, then the new version provides for the compensation of the spending for the incineration and transportation of the funeral urn too. Under the document, the beneficiaries eligible for the partial compensation of the carriage expenses can be only the Moldovan citizens with residence in Moldova at least half a year in the last 12 months, till the submission of the application.  

The means needed for the partial compensation of the concerned expenses are financed from the fund for the support of residents and are proposed to the draft state budget law for 2021.
