As many as 1,673 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 4,383 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,673 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 130,329 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 101 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 28, medical assistants –58, auxiliary staff employees – 19.

A number of 3,900 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 269 are in extremely serious condition (60 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

Another 1,363 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 112,677 people were treated of COVID-19.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 25 deaths triggered by COVID-19, with 2,650 people dead because of the virus till present.
